Hi Luizfbw. I looked at that website (they have it in English, too!) and there is not much technical info, even in the PDF file (also in English).
They do say that the filters contain colloidal silver. Wikipedia defines colloidal silver as
a colloid consisting of silver particles suspended in liquid
with a link to colloid,
A colloid is a substance in which microscopically dispersed insoluble particles are suspended throughout another substance.
The definition of a colloid could be taken to mean particles suspended in a solid material and not just water. I think my original statement that their filter has silver particles in the filter media is correct. The term 'colloidal silver' is usually taken as silver particles in water.
The Advance filter looks like a good filter, but there are no specs showing exactly what it takes out unlike the
Berkey
filter, which I use on well water where I live.
I would think that it is normal to smell chlorine in the top container of the filter as that is untreated water.
I think the filtered water from the Advance model could be used to make MMS, but distilled water would be better if it is available.
