What one must consider when using chlorine dioxide or mms is that it needs to come in contact with what your trying to kill. No contact, no kill. Contact time is also important. Breathing in chlorine dioxide for a few breathes is probably not as good as breathing it in, all night, in a lower concentration. You could try making a solution of mms and activator, place it in your bedroom while you sleep. Have it far enough away so you can't smell it but close enough that you'll get some chlorine dioxide while you sleep. Because the chlorine dioxide is a gas trapped in a liquid it will release slowly through the night. A bowl will release it faster than a glass. What you would need to determine is, how mms to activate. I'd suggest start slowly and build up over a few nights.
