Hi Gregorio,
I am interested in your comments on cannabis. On 8 May 2014 I had double-knee surgery to repair torn meniscus. The recovery is much slower and longer and more painful than what the doctor told me. to expect. And for reasons I do not know, none of the pain meds have worked for me (Vicodin, Aleeve, Tylenol) I stopped using them.
From a friend I heard about a "HempVap" from Kannaway multi-level Company. I ordered one. It arrived 9 days after surgery and I immediately "smoked" it. One hit from the e-cigarette thing and my pain was reduced from a 8-9 (scale of 1-10) to a 2-3. This got my attention.
I have been studying the healing qualities of cannabis, primarily he CBD rich Hemp for a while, but I had no reason to try it until this knee pain. I have, of course, been learning about Rick Simpson's work.
I live in Colorado, USA, where marijuana has been legalized for recreational as well as medical use. Having a medical marijuana license allows each "card-holder" to grow up to 6 plants. This is what I have been wanting to do. Unfortunately, I have not been able too find a resource where I can get quality seeds. I want to grow the R4 (Charolete's Web) CBD rich Hemp. I do not like the high one gets from using the THC rich marijuana plants. I have also learned that juicing the THC rich marijuana plants does not get you high and has many healing benefits. My husband and I have a little farm and we garden, so it would be easy or us to tend some hemp/marijuana plants. And now, after this recent experience of pain relief using the HempVap, I am even more interested in growing.
However, I stopped using the HempVap because the company was too slow in answering my questions about their product and when they did finally reply to my emailed questions, the answers were not satisfactory. I had asked
1) The HempVap burns my throat, is there a way to "smoke" it where my throat will not get burned? (The slender pen-like device heats electronically to very high temperatures which vaporizes the hemp oil) This question was never responded to.
2) What plastics are used in the manufacturing of this device and where is it made? They only said "We use "Food Grade" plastics. They did not mention where it was manufactured or which grades of plastics are used. I needed more thorough information. This information is certainly available these days.
3) Where is the Hemp grown? They only said "Europe." This was also not enough information for me.
4) Is each Hemp harvest tested for CBD content, if so, what are the CBD levels? THey only said "we test our Hemp."
In my last email to them I asked:
5) How do I return the product to Kannaway? They sent me an address for returning the product, which I did. I have yet to see my payment credited back.
After my initial kannaway purchase, I was getting a lot of information from them about business building, I was more interested in trying and learning about the product before I talked about it to anyone. I am not interested in MLM business anyway. But they took way too long to respond with their unsatisfactory replies to my questions. I told them that i live in Colorado where I can get Hemp products from reliable sources, so I see no reason to continue using something questionable. The hemp/marijuana industry is HUGE here and because of the money involved there are some complicated social and politcal issues. Actually, these issues are world-wide now. Colorado is on the leading edge.
All that said, I am in favor of legalization. After all, we all deserve the right to take control of our health. I believe we should all have the right to responsibly grow and use these plants. But even here where it is now legal, It is not easy to get seeds. I saw Hemp seeds offered for $10 a seed on the internet!!! And there was no way to know the quality of the plants they come from. It's a crazy world indeed.
So when I read your comments about the "half-life" of cannabis, and that you recommend using MMS one month on either side of using MMS, I wondered from where you get this information?
I have been using MMS/CDS/CDH for several years and at this point if I had to choose between MMS and hemp/marijuana, I would choose MMS. However, I plan on continuing my search for quality CBD rich hemp seeds and when I get some, I will grow it.
Hopefully you'll let me know where you learned the "half-life" of hemp and marijuana. In the meantime, I will continue to learn…
Thanks,
joyce
