According some people here in Brazil, there is a difference. The "normal" or industrial Chlorite has Chlorates on its composition what becomes it not pure. The puriss P.A. is free of Chlorates, because of this its pure and more expensive, R$ 328,00 and R$ 417,00 respectively.

In chemistry we have different grades of purity. For lab test have to be High purity because we are determining concentration. But for prepared solution we can accept reagent grade that can have some grade of impurities. In the case of NaCl02 due to the high risk of Explosion is always ship with some salt added to avoid problem. That amount of high purity probably is just a little amount of grams like 10 grams. But for this forum and everybody using MMS should be 80% of purity.

I´m dealing with a company in China and I was confused about it. The RT, grade, concentration or solution are the same thing? So concentration of 80% is same as purity as 80%?
