:(

I tied the shot glass method twice and only got a 10, and figured I had old MMS. So I made some new MMS following instruction carefully. I put 6 oz. of heated distilled water in a jar and added 8 level tablespoons of MMS flakes and put it in a dark place. 4 hours later the flakes are still sitting in the bottom of the jar; they haven't dissolved at all. How am I ever going to make CDS if I can't even make MMS?

Sandy, I did not check your recipe, but you need to weigh the NaClo2 and not use a tablespoon to measure it. There is too much variance in flake size to be accurate enough. And then there is NaClo2 powder which will be more dense.

I suggest you follow these directions:

g2cforum.org/index.php/list/mms-technical-talk/19841-how-to-make-mms#19841

And, don't forget to stir the flakes often when added to the warm water. I use a plastic spoon and stir every few minutes until the flakes are dissolved.

I wanted to try the new CDS method, and using the MMS I made it seems to have worked.

Interesting, Sandy - maybe this was something taught at the Bradenton conference?

Is plastic a must? I missed that part in my readings.

You could use wood or glass, but not metal as NaClo2 will react with metal, even stainless steel.

From Jim's 2011 book on 'Making MMS in your kitchen':

"Only use glass or Teflon-coated steel (that’s the non stick coating now used for cooking pots). The Teflon coating must not be scratched through to the metal. Do not use stainless steel or aluminum. You could make a poisonous MMS solution if you use metal for dissolving the salts, which, of course, would be a disaster.

If you use stainless steel, you will notice that the MMS discolors the metal. That’s because it is dissolving the steel out of the other metals. Do not bottle such a solution. It is okay to use Corning Ware (glass type ware)."

A great quote from NLP to keep in mind

I have one of the old mercury filling. Will that be a problem?
