I want to help an elderly relative who is in their 70's with their knee pains.

The pain comes and goes. Most of the time they are totally fine but perhaps 2 to 3 times a month they'll have several days where they are in huge pain in a single knee.

First of all - can anyone think of a reason why someone in their 70's would only be in pain in a single knee a few days per month?
This person doesn't drink alcohol or coffee. But they have a pretty poor diet. He barely eats and when he does it's a lot of junk like potato chips, instant noodles, pizza once a week, which usually lasts for 2 days. He also drinks about 2 cups of tea a day, with 2 sugars and does eat a lot of white rice based dishes with lentils, curried lamb, etc

He does smoke - perhaps 2 or 3 cigarettes a day - he's not going to give those up either after 50+ years of smoking.

I'm looking for a topical solution that might help with his knee pains.
He's not going to swallow MMS for sure - he has trouble even swallowing pills of any kind.

The only thing I know he will try is something topical that he can apply directly to his knee.
I already have MMS and have just ordered DMSO which should be with me in a few days.

Whats the best topical treatment I should try with a man in his 70's with occasional knee pains?

Also I've read I need to mix the DMSO with Water - can filtered tap water be used or does it have to be distilled water?

I was thinking about perhaps trying a few drops of MMS in Filtered tap water and then adding some DMSO to that and then applying that to his knee (but only after he's had a bath and his skin is totally clean)

Any suggestions for a topical treatment are more then welcomed. I did get him once to soak his feet in a bucket of Epsom salts and I think he did like that because he said it made his feet really soft. I still have about 2kg of Epsom Salts left as well.

So basically what I have to work with is DMSO, MMS, Epsom Salt and Filtered Tap Water (but I could go out and find Distilled water if I have to)

I would use distilled water as tap water has fluoride etc your filter is not removing. I have used ten drops CD with a bit of water and rub on my knee. Then take Dmso and rub it in with bare hands as it can melt rubber. If it burns too much wipe it with clean water. It makes a lot so it would be hard to use it all on the knee itself. I just drink the rest. If you apply to much cd and dmso it will itch and skin will flake off. This I've done this by doing it multiple times in a day. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind. Few are allergic to dmso but could use a bit and check for kidney pain.

D-3 is important. And Mag Oil is also great. Cat's Claw is great too. And a complex b vit. These need to be taken every day.

Lyme has caused me great trouble with my left knee.

But with the above I'm doing good. They had me down for a knee replacement when I lost my insurance which was a blessing in disguise.

Have similar problems over the last 10 years but very much so when I took up gardening as a profession 2 years ago. I was pointed by the forum toward Water Last's paper 'The Borax Conspiracy'. Just Google it and it will come up. That got me thinking about trace elements and calcification and the issues I had are getting better or have already gone away.

As an aside I cared for my mother and took her through to 101. I gave her one drop of MMS in a freshly made vegetable and fruit drink from the juicer (sweetened with cordial) at 1700 everyday which she never knew she had. She was sickness free for the last 5 years. If I gave her anymore than 1 drop it brought on discomfort. Yet 1 drop still kept her healthy enough. The trick is not how much one takes but how regular one takes it. It will still work but take longer if treating an ailment.

In her breakfast I put Vit C, in her evening meal she got broad spectrum vitamin tablets along with honey and raw sugar and olive oil. Every morning she got a massage in which I would add a few drops of colloidal silver one batch, almond oil another batch, DMSO etc. Just use it very sparingly so they do not pick it up. What I am trying to say is that there is a way around everything with a little imagination and the confidence in the products. I also set aside time every night to study medicine on the internet, and I always tried every new product on myself first to gauge side effects.

You can do this if you think it through.

Well my DMSO just arrived today, so I'm testing it on myself.

First impressions. Upon opening it - it really does smell a lot like mild Garlic.

I mixed a tiny amount with water - probably about 30% DMSO and 70% Water and applied that to one knee.
I can feel a slight warming of that knee, not much but after about 20 minutes could taste something similar to garlic in mouth mouth, very mildly though.

Now on the other knee just applied a tiny amount of pur DMSO just to see what if any reaction happens when applied neat.
I've seen some things online that say pure DMSO could cause a blister on the skin so only applied a tiny amount and to the thickest and roughest part of my knee skin.

I don't have any knee problems myself, but my back has been aching all week so tempted to try some watered down DMSO on my back today.

What would be better for a backache, just water and DMSO or also adding some drops of MMS?

I've also been recovering from Shingles lately and read the virus that causes shingles hides out near the spine?
Would applying MMS / DMSO to my back / spine area be a good thing for help recover from Shingles?

I use dmso straight no problems. Only when I did it to many times in a day with CD. I would add the CD for sure

OK, so for some feedback on Day 1 of using DMSO.

I tried it on one knee - in a ratio of about 70% water - 30% DMSO - I felt a little warmth and very slight garlic taste in my mouth.

Later I tried Pure DMSO without anything added to it on my other knee and I didn't feel anything in particular - no warmth or any Garlic taste in the mouth

I don't have any pains in my knees to begin with just thought I'd try in those areas first as a test.

But I have had a twinge in my back for about 2 weeks now. So I decided to test the DMSO in a part of the body where there is pain.

This time I mixed by eye something closer to the recommended 70% DMSO and 30% water mixture.

The first time I used a cotton pad but I felt like most of the DMSO was just getting wasted by being absorbed into the pad so I simply used my hands and I think that gives a better result. Prior to all of this I had a shower to get my skin as clean as possible.

After applying to my lower back I felt some warmth, much more then on my knees and also then a fair amount of itching, which then later went just a little bit red and felt a little like a very mild sunburn, after all those sensations went away I'd say my lower back pain was reduced by about 90% - it's now been about 12 hours since I applied the DMSO and I'd say my lower back pain is still about 60% better then it was this morning before I applied any DMSO.

So based on my experience so far DMSO seems to live up to it's pain relieving claims - also I applied the DMSO that was on my hands to my forehead and face and all I got was a mild itching sensation.

Also applied some to my shoulders where the joints have been clicking somewhat over the last few days and I'd say 12 hours on my shoulder joints feel like they are moving more smoother and without any clicking.

I guess my next thing to try is DMSO with water that contains MMS.

But for sure I've been reading about DMSO for many months, I can only say I wish I tried it earlier.

I'd highly recommend watching this if you're interested in DMSO - seems to date back to the 1970's - it's in 3 parts
