Has anyone got experience with treating scabies and ridding dogs of this itchy parasite?
www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+2111&aid=764

I have been putting 3 drops of inactivated mms into the dog's water bowl each day with little effect thus far.
Suggestions greatly appreciated.

This dog is a 40kg male lab

YBox,

You could easily put 10 - 12 drops into his water bowl (of non activated MMS) .... and am assuming his water bowl is a 16 size ?

His weight could easily handle that.

I have successfully treated Mites and other parasites that cause skin problems with DE (Diatomaceous Earth)

Simple. A dog's stomach acid activates the mms all by itself.

Unlike biting mites, Fox mites burrow into the skin. DE has been very successful against ticks, fleas, lice. and biting mites, but I have yet to see examples of DE ridding a dog of scabies. Have you?

I'm not sure on scabies; but, I had a foster who had demadectic mange; and, a couple of drops of MMS1 once a month kept her out of bacterial infections. When I started spraying her w/MMS2 spray (calcium hypochlorite spray) and MMS1 spray, tiny little white "teardrop" shaped things started emerging from her folicles, which seemed to be the mite egg pods... Not sure if it would work with sarcoptic mites or not; but, it couldn't do any harm...

Mange/Scabies

I have used MMS 15 drops with half a glass of water and applied on the area. It was amazing the next morning when I wanted to apply again the area was completely dry. The effected area was about one sqft.
