Hello Everyone

Merry Christmas.I know people are having problems finding the 2 ounce baby bottles.
I have a solution that might help everyone through out the world.
I use a small glass jar that has an eye dropper on it.It works great and they can be found almost any where.
I removed the plastic part that you use to measure out the drops and cut a small hole in the rubber squeeze
top just like Mr.Humble does with the nipple on the baby bottle.
I would like to thank everyone on the great job that you are doing with this forum
I hope this idea helps.
Zorro

Zorro, have you noticed any issues with the rubber during the processing? Has it gotten soft or started to disintegrate? That was my only concern about rubber - I know I have problems with it with my essential oils so I stayed clear for making CDS -

Hello Pam

We have something in common. I am a herbalist.I only made this once with the black rubber squeeze top.
I did not notice the rubber getting brittle or black specks in my CDS.If I ever see any I will let you know
Thank You

I've been using the glass baby bottle that Pam found and recommended but in searching for a 2 oz glass jar I found this:

www.tcpglobal.com/airbrushdepot/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=BDG+50-0053

Is that similar to what you are talking about Zorro?

Just checking the forum quickly and reading this thread, thought i would add a thought that my husband came up with.... he could't see that it mattered if the bottle was a bit larger than 2oz but also suggesting putting glass marbles in to take up the space... I thought it was rather ingeneous really :) although so is using the dropper bottle for am sure we can find those anywhere in the world.

Hello, am new to the site and forum. I tried making the CDS using what I had on hand instead of using the 2 ounce bottle...big mistake... as I did not have a tight seal on the small bottle i used and hence flooded the house with Chlorine dioxide gas.....my throat was sore and had a cough for 2 days...so what ever you do have a tight seal on the generating bottle..I didi get over my problems...also my nose ran likea fauct for about 4 days.....maybe I cleared out a lot of junk..who knows.....jan 123

Welcome, Jan123 -

Yes, the mixing bottle has a couple of "things" - it should be just about the size of the amount of liquid you're putting into it - and you do want the gas to go over to the receiving bottle. Jim's newest video is now showing a little venting hole in the nipple -

One thing about it, with the lid not tight enough, you didn't have a gas buildup in the bottle so high that the bottle "exploded" on you <G>. The use for the nipple on the baby bottle, of course, is to provide something that could come out easily if there was a gas buildup.

Next time, you might try having your stove ventilation hood fan running, pulling the gas up and out - there will always be a little leaking, because your receiving bottle has no cap on it at all. (And shouldn't) -

If it's any encouragement, I think most of us have had the "oopsy, too much gas" syndrome at one point or another. We usually only do it once.:)

I was just going to use 4oz bottles and double the starting amount and use a larger capacity receiving bottle as long as it stores with no problem..................
