Guessing it's a problem with your browser. I can get there fine, running chrome, malwarebytes, and Avast - paid versions of the last 2. What happens for me is that it automatically sets up a download for the file, which is an adobe acrobat file.

The tech admin on that site is VERY savvy, so I doubt there would be a malicious add-on.

Hi Pam
I'm confused too about the wide range of xxxppm or mg. But the teststripes of LaMotte says clear that black is 500ppm and if it is more than 500ppm it will turn to gold/black or to gold colour, so I gess that black is really 500ppm.

You can do it that way, if you prefer, Serge - I prefer to add more water to drop the PPMs back down into a color I can more easily interpret since I don't know what "black gold" looks like. Or how much of it is at 600ppm, for example. I also cut my testing strips in half (long ways) so that I can do 2 tests with one strip.

Hi Pam.

As I understood from your discusión, the easiest way to low down the concentration is to dilute the CDS down till you can check the ppm with your sticks (max. 500 ppm - 3000 conc.)

is this right ?

thank you

Dilute your liquid by 10 and then times the reading you have,
So 5 ml solution added to 50ml (or would it be 45ml, can someone clarify this please)
and then times the result by 10 to have the correct ppms.

Is this correct?

I assume you mean you're diluting with distilled water and yes you've got it .
