Thank you Glenda :))

Update this morning... stools are firm and no sign of blood at all!!!! Soooooo happy! Now I'm sure that it was the mms doing its thing, so did as you all suggested and gave him a one day break yday... and kept his diet light with a little chicken and rice... there's obviously lots of work for the mms to do, so shall start really slow again today, I think I'll give him 4 quarter drops i.e that will mean he'll have 1 drop all day and see how he takes that... he is rather tired but happy... ALL the family agree that his eyes are really clearing up (from the cataracts that were forming) so that is a real bonus, totally unexpected and well, quite miraculous!!!!

Feeling encouraged thank you so much for your support my friends and I'll be ion touch XXX

Ahh, yes! I forgot about the pumpkin. When we first got Biscuit she had chronic diarrhea and plain canned pumpkin was suggested to me by a friend. Worked better than pepto and she like it! I just put a dollop in her food and waa laa! No more diarrhea. I now always keep a can available.

1/4 drop = 1 drop for the day. Does that mean you are only doing four hours? If I am not mistaken protocol suggests for 8 hours.

hi again,
yes i was thinking of doping 4 times because of the way it has effected him.... would you suggest that I further dilute the 1 drop so he can have it over 8 times? Would that be better do you think?

Update!!! Duke has had more runs this morning with a little blood still... but this evening whilst still a bit runny had no blood... gave him another break from the mms today as was worried after the runny poo...

Shall hopefully start again tmrw but wondering where to start from now???? Do you think i should start as i asked above divide 1 drop into 8 times?

thanks so very much, Rebecca

Yes, I would try 1 drop divided into 8 times.

Hi all,
Hello all, hope all is well with you,
right so spent the day giving Duke 1/8 of a drop and gave him 7 doses throughout the day, and he was again, like a different dog - he was spritely and happy, like a younger dog. Had my vet in again to see him and he too was really pleased with his condition, however did prescribe antibiotics since the diarrhea had been happening for too long on and off and since it started before i began giving him mms, I can't be sure if there is some severe underlying infection or due to the mms itself... especially since there is blood present, better to be safe than sorry..... this morning blood again in stools so began the antibiotics and giving him a break from the mms....

would it be ok to give it together with the antibiotics, and could i possibly start at 1/16, just in case even the 1/8 dose is too strong do you think? Sorry to keep asking, but really want to make sure I do this right as I know that it is helping him and I really want to carry on with it... many thanks XXX

Hi!
Hopefully somebody with more knowledge and experience will chime in. Even 1/16 is better than no MMS. I think, emphasis on "think" that you may be able to give MMS with some antibiotics. Ask your vet perhaps? Also, try the pumpkin thing for diarrhea.

Hoping for all the best!
Denise
