There is a huge debate on MMS and its chemistry raging over at CureZone (Page 1, started 2 years ago: curezone.com/forums/f.asp?f=873&c=0&p=1)

One thing I've come across are a lot of assertions that MMS mixed with citric acid is highly acidic. There is a claim that this is contributor to digestive problems, nausea, etc. in people taking MMS.

Check out the pair of videos from "Sedona Health Labs" on acidity and adding sodium bicarbonate to "buffer" the ph:

Hi Bruce

Thanks for this video series. The bicarbonate addition would probably work great for dental stuff -- acid is hard on the enamel and it doesn't exactly grow back. Not sure about drinking the baking soda though.

I've tried the recipe for a mouthwash given by Silverfox on Curezone where you mix straight Sodium Chlorite with water. His idea is that the water starts activating it, and the saliva in the mouth completes the process. The first time I used it it seemed rather strong -- but as the days passed the mouthwash tasted more and more like salt water. So my guess is that it was just turning into salt and water! Now I think I'll try it activated with the baking soda in it and see if that will stay good for a few days. It's not as if one uses a lot at a time, and it's nice to have it ready when you want it instead of having to make up a new batch.

What do you think of the idea of using less citric acid in the basic MMS activation, and letting it sit for longer? For instance, if you use 1 drop of 50% citric acid to 3 drops of MMS, and let it sit for 3 minutes or so. You can surely tell by looking at it if it's activated or not. It would seem, on the whole, beneficial to use less of the citric acid if possible, especially if you're taking MMS on an empty stomach.

Thanks for making this website happen!

Hi Lori,

Thank you for contributing to the board! The idea of using straight MMS/sodium chlorite solution in a mouthwash should be just fine, I think. The acidity of the saliva should activate it, and anything absorbed into the tissues is, I suspect, activated in the bloodstream.

As far as using less citric acid for activation, I have long tended to use less - I found that 3 drops of 10% c/a solution worked just fine, and use 1/2 drop c/a per drop of MMS mostly. It doesn't seem to take much longer for full activation to happen at that concentration and amount. The question of activation amounts and timing is one that I have in mind to test, when I have more time.

Again, thanks for your participation,
Bruce
