My name is Roumeliotis George and my mother who is 66 years old
has a health issue. Until now she didn't have any signs of illness
that were obvious. The doctors have diagnosed her with cancer in her stomach.
All this happened because she was hurting and had liquid that concentrated in
her stomach. This all occured during the previous month, when she started
having stomach aches and after she was admitted to the hospital, she had extensive tests
(MRI, CT scanner, ultrasound tests, blood tests) which didn't show anything.
We came to a dead end. The only tests that were missing were colonoscopy and
gastroscopy. After her first gastroscopy examination, they assured us that it was definitely
malignant cancer with metastasis to her whole stomach. They suggested chemotherapy but without
giving us any hope that it will work. My mother's clinical image seems to be good...
She can lift herself, she uses the bathroom by herself and today she started eating like she normally would
but a little slower since the doctors had prohibited her to eat anything because of the pain she
was feeling and because the food whouldn't go down easily. They have now told us to discharge her
from the hospital but we can't really do anything.
