My CDS is too acidic pH. How to balance? was created by Perfect in R-zone
After my last question, I did go and use pH strip test, and it is way too acidic.  I couldn't even get the strip to read and thought that the strips might be bad, so I tested something I know is higher pH, and that worked just fine.

How do I get the CDS to neutral pH?

My sodium chlorite is 22.4% and the activator HCL is 4%, and I'm following A. Kalcker's directions, exactly, from both the book and video.  I used distilled water.  Should I use bottled spring water, instead, maybe?  Maybe a little less activator?  I do NOT want to add sodium chlorite drops to the completed CDS because I already have a sensitive stomach.  Maybe I could add a pinch of pink salt to alkalize to the concentrate?

I put one cup of distilled water to absorb the gas for 12 hours, and then change over to do another 12 hours.  If I add anything to it, how much, (such as salt)?  Or, if I change the drops in the shot glass from 5 mls/5 mls, what ratio can I use to get a better result?

Thank you!

When I make CDS with distilled water, the pH is too acidic. I have used our tap water which is from a well and the pH is about 7.0

Thank you.  We have city water, so will have to try to find one that is higher pH.  One of the better quality spring water companies, maybe.

It seems that Icelandic brand spring water has a pH of 8.4 or so, and I think I will try working with that one.  Fiji is supposed to be 7.7, though my test strips showed Fiji to be 6.5.  I appreciate the reply about using the spring/well water.  I thought that it had to be distilled water.  Why does Andreas recommend distilled water when the pH of distilled is not what works best?

Good question. And, why does he say CDS is pH neutral? The only way I can make pH neutral CDS is by using alkaline water. Distilled and filtered water that I use always makes acidic CDS.

One question that comes to mind; Would the acidic CDS then be harmful or different in its effects? I assume it then no longer has the desired effect?

Chlorine dioxide is still chlorine dioxide no matter what the pH of the water solution is, that is holding chlorine dioxide gas.

If CDS is used topically, low pH might cause skin irritation.

Low pH CDS used to brush teeth can soften tooth enamel and can be brushed off. But, the benefits of CLO2 used in a mouth, remain.

CDS used for injection into blood should be the same pH as blood, which is about 7.3 pH.

For about 10 days I was using it and if I used more than a minute amount, I was getting bad acid reflux.  That is what caused me to question the pH, thanks to @CLO2 on this board, and found that my CDS finished product was too acidic.  I can say, honestly, though, that something good has been happening in my healing process.  It will take a long term approach in my case, and the benefits have been subtle, but when you've been ill for as long as I have, the subtle improvements are thrilling!

I'm waiting for a delivery of Icelandic water, and then will make my new batch of CDS, with a more balanced pH.

I have a ph water question at the end.

New to CDS/MMS. I've spent the last five weeks researching mainly CDS.

I have watched Andreas Kalcker's video on how to make CDS the right way a few times.

I've also watched the video in the link below and will probably follow this method when I make my first batch of CDS. The one reaction to reach 3,000 ppm method seems simpler than Andreas Kalckers two reaction method.

This video recommends using Alhaline water with a ph content of 9.5+.

My question is would using alhaline water instead of distilled water be better for making CDS?

TIA,

That is what my conclusion is. My shipment of "Icelandic" spring water was delayed, and I had to put in another order for it, but that is what I'll be using from now on.  Using the distilled water made it too acidic.  Icelandic brand spring water is supposed to be at about 8.4 pH.  I don't want it to be too alkaline, either, so see no need to go higher than 8.0 to 8.4.
