I'll express personal opinion here.

I don't think we should blame the lifestyle habits so much. World wide rates of new cancer occurrence are growing and that is not because people are getting more negligent to their health. Much to the contrary, people are getting much more informed and conscious about the consequences of a bad diet, stress and sedentary life styles. Yet cancer rates keep pushing, specially in skin cancer.

So I agree with mart1n in regards to:
  • vaccines
  • antibiotics
  • meds
  • artificial additives used by food industry
  • pesticides
  • electromagnetic radiation

The "occurrence" is also increasing in all of those above.

So cancer is perhaps the humanity's fate? But it doesn't need to kill you. ;)
