If you feed pollen patties for early buildup or sugar water that might be a vehicle for mms. Also a pump up sprayer, using mms/water mix, could be used to make a light application of a very fine mist on frame tops. I would not worry doing those methods on a few hives when i operated 1-3000 but 2 hives presents a much greater risk to your investment, untill proven usable. where are you geographically and is there any american or european foul brood?

We fumigated the hives, frames and everything using the bag method, before the bees arrived and then gave them 6 drops unactivated MMS1 in sugar water, which they gobbled up without a problem. 2 x 2# packages of bees+ queen from New Zealand rated disease free. They're on Saltspring Island, about 50 miles north of Seattle where there has been a major die off probably on account of gov't spraying. :>( The orchard is in blossom now and syrup consumption has dropped significantly but mms treated syrup is replenished weekly.

I used the crisco,sugar pattie because they would be cleaned up even with some honey flow. It took a major flow to leave the patties . Probably if you mix some pollen with the pallie they would disappear with a honey flow going on, i produced pollen too but never tried using it because i stopped the patties after the honey flow increased because of antibiotics in the patties and not wanting to chance contamination of the honey
speaking of honey flows and bears. you got fireweed in burned off areas'? also bears on the island? I have relation in seattle suburb and have bucket list of keeping bees in fireweed areas. Also do morel mushrooms follow the fireweed? the best of both worlds.

I don't know that I'd call them reasonably priced, but I purchase all my HDPE and PET bottles at
www.containerandpackaging.com/
(they have a fee for small orders, which is what makes them unreasonable, IMHO) With the HDPE bottles I use the accudrop dropper top.

I have seen some eyedrop containers that were purchased at stores that had stuff like artificial tears eye drops. I've been hesitant to use one of those since I am not clear about what the other chemicals were in the containers and might have leached into the bottles. JMHO.

Hi Paul,

I have been reading these posts on bees with great interest,especially in light of the bee plight across the world.I subscibe to a website called mercola.com and receive emails everyday regarding different supplements and what different foods and drugs are harmful and how the drug companies get away with atrocoties regarding drugs and my email today was about the bee decline and why.

I'm sure you are more than aware of monsanto in the USA and now they have decided to buy the very company that researches into bees and their decline and as Dr.Mercola put it,"the fox that guards the hen house" scenario!Apparantly,Monsanto even state on their website that,the very pesticides they use,are the cause of the bees decline!

As usual there is such an easy solution to so many things,stop pesticide use,spray crops etc with MMS and bees will flourish,plants and crops will flourish and our soil will be healthy,which also means thyroid disease and all the ills that follow thyroid disease,will be all but banished,because we will get our iodine back into our soils which are so depleted of this.

Oh dear,easy typing it in a post,not so easy in reality,just a dream again:(
