Root canal teeth

New to the forum. I have witnessed my wife have severe issues after having a root canal removed then after an implant was inserted there was a strong reaction thru her skin she is still battling two years later. In theory there was accumulating infection hiding in cavitations that was injected into the bloodstream with the implant. After much research it is said a root canal will always harbor bacteria. Our immune system can keep it in check but they should be removed. 
Question is has anyone used the dmso and mms combination on a root canaled tooth? I guess there would be no way of knowing if all the bacteria was killed? The implant was removed but the chaos it created was great. I have had great results using dmso and I am learning about mms   Any feedback appreciated.
